We spent 3 nights in a Double Room, and it was so cozy! The garden had chickens which laid delicious eggs for breakfast. Kirsty and Kevin were amazing hosts, sharing great tips for hiking. Breakfast was top-notch, made fresh every day. Totally recommend this place! 🍳

    excellent breakfast
    quirky decor
    limited accessibility

The varied breakfast menu offers outstanding local ingredients and memorable homemade options like tomato chutney with scrambled eggs. Unique quirks throughout the house, such as thoughtful decor and doves in the garden, create a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

The hot tub was temporarily out of commission due to cleaning after a spill, which was a letdown after a long day exploring. While the hotel has some charming touches, there are limited accessibility features as it requires a few steps to enter, and only a ground-floor room is available.

    navigational challenges

Some parts shine, others fall flat

Kirsty and Kev's heartfelt hospitality stood out, alongside the delightful breakfast featuring fresh eggs from their chickens! Relaxing in the hot tub amidst stunning views after a hiking day was a wonderful bonus.

The bathroom amenities felt somewhat outdated and could use a refresh. navigating the location was a bit tricky at first.

    welcoming hosts
    top-notch breakfasts
    train noise

Had a fantastic time with friends! The hosts were super welcoming, and the breakfasts were top-notch—better than most hotels! We enjoyed exploring the stunning Cairngorms National Park and checking out the local shops for outdoor gear. it’s a great spot for skiing in winter and hiking in summer!

Be aware that if you're staying in a room at the back, train noises may be a concern at night depending on the schedule.

    exceptional hospitality
    delicious breakfast
    outdated bathroom
    restrictive breakfast selection
    tricky location

The hospitality from Kevin and Kirsty stands out. their warmth and assistance during our stay made us feel right at home. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, featuring fresh eggs that brought a delightful touch to the meal. I found the bathroom could use some updating, and making breakfast selections the night before can feel a bit restrictive. While the room was clean and comfortable, the location was slightly tricky to find, requiring a walk around the property.

    Fantastic Hosts and Amazing Breakfast!

Staying here was a real treat, with Kirsty and Kevin going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The breakfast was exceptional, offering a wide range of locally sourced options, making every morning a feast. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, providing a cozy retreat after our adventures. I would have appreciated a bit more variety in the dining hours though.

great stay but minor details need attention

The room was spacious and well-furnished, providing ample comfort for my needs. Personal touches in decor made the experience feel special and unique. The location was perfect, just a short walk from shops and restaurants, enhancing convenience. I enjoyed the homemade breakfast that featured local ingredients.

The bathroom could benefit from modern amenities.
